Ms. Sharma specializes in the areas of general liability defense and professional liability defense. Her general liability defense practice includes the representation of the firm’s institutional clients in a variety of claims, including personal injury, wrongful death and catastrophic loss claims arising from construction site accidents, residential fires, slip and falls, and serious motor vehicle accidents. Ms. Sharma also represents a variety of professionals, including design professionals, real estate brokers, accountants, and insurance professionals.
Prior to joining Lagasse Branch Bell + Kinkead, Ms. Sharma defended insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and public agencies in all areas of state workers’ compensation law, including asbestos litigation, medical lien litigation, Labor Code § 132(a) petitions, and serious and willful misconduct claims.
While in law school, Ms. Sharma was a law clerk for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Law Division, the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, and the Honorable Judge Alan Kay of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Outside of LBBK, Ms. Sharma enjoys doing pro bono work with The Justice & Diversity Center of The Bar Association of San Francisco in areas of family law and domestic violence. She is also an avid globetrotter, an amateur chef, and a feminist.
