J. Patrick Allen is an employment and business litigation attorney who defends and advises companies on a wide variety of employment and workplace law matters, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims, such as independent contractor misclassification, regular rate calculations, piece-rate compensation, and expense reimbursement claims.
In addition to litigation, Mr. Allen is an experienced workplace investigator and advises clients on best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure a positive and lawful working environment. He works with clients to draft and update employee handbooks, non-disclosure agreements, independent contractor agreements and compensation agreements. He also provides workplace trainings, including trade secret protections and harassment prevention.
Outside of the law, Mr. Allen enjoys wildlife photography, hiking and cooking for his friends and family.
