Jocelyn Koo

Overview

Jocelyn Koo is an associate attorney in the general liability and professional liability practice group at the firm. Ms. Koo’s general liability practice is focused on defending individuals, businesses, and public entities against a variety of liability claims, including personal injury, premises liability, habitability, and wrongful death. She also represents a variety of professionals in the fields of accounting, architecture, engineering, and real estate.

Prior to joining Lagasse Branch Bell + Kinkead, Ms. Koo worked at a top-tier eDiscovery and Information Governance law firm representing and advising clients on matters related to electronically stored information and other discovery matters. Ms. Koo also previously worked as an attorney at a Bay Area law firm specializing in landlord-tenant, property damage, personal injury, premises liability, and wrongful death claims.

Ms. Koo received her B.A. from the University of California, Irvine and her J.D. from the University of California, Davis. At UC Davis School of Law, Ms. Koo was an articles editor for the UC Davis Law Review and Co-President of the Asian Pacific Law Students Association. She externed for the United States District Court, Northern District of California, and the United States Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division.

Ms. Koo has served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Elizabeth D. Laporte (Ret.) and the Honorable Joseph C. Spero, Northern District of California.

When not advocating for her clients, Ms. Koo enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, playing board games, and reading.
