Lisa M. Magorien

Overview

Ms. Magorien is an employment litigation partner with the firm’s San Diego office. She oversees employment cases in both state and federal courts for prominent national clients. Ms. Magorien specializes in the defense of employers in a variety of legal claims, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, and wage and hour matters. She is a zealous advocate for her clients and has an excellent track record on dispositive motions.

Ms. Magorien serves as an independent investigator for employers seeking neutral workplace investigations. She conducts training seminars for her clients on unlawful harassment and best practices. She also provides employment counseling on numerous issues, including accommodations and the interactive process, internal complaints, discipline and termination, and compliance with wage and hour laws.

Ms. Magorien has received numerous accolades in the area of Employment Litigation, including Super Lawyers’ Rising Star recognition from 2016 through 2023, San Diego Business Journal’s Top 100 Leaders in the Law (2022), and Business Women of the Year (2023).

Outside of LBBK, Ms. Magorien enjoys oil painting, sculpting, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
