Overview
Heather N. Stone is a partner with Lagasse Branch Bell + Kinkead LLP. Ms. Stone regularly defends employers and individuals accused of wrongdoing in the workplace, including defense of claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination. She also has extensive experience defending wage and hour class actions, including PAGA claims. In addition, Ms. Stone provides employers with advice, counseling, and training to help them lower the frequency and severity of employment practice claims. With her guidance, employers develop and implement human resources best practices, educate supervisors and employees, and manage risk. Her experience includes conducting comprehensive audits of existing human resources practices, leading workplace investigations, developing corporate policies, and presenting employment seminars.
Ms. Stone is admitted to practice law in the state and federal district courts of California. She is a member of the Board of Directors and Governance Committee Chair of Kids Included Together, active member of ZLAC Women’s Rowing Club, and served her community for nearly ten years in MADCAPS (Mothers and Daughters Club Assisting Philanthropies).
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Stone was Of Counsel in the Labor and Employment practice group at a national full-service firm. Ms. Stone earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University.
