Jacob Colvin

Overview

Jacob “Jake” Colvin is an associate in the firm’s Tort and Professional Liability Practice Groups in the firm’s San Francisco office.  He specializes in civil litigation defense. 

 Mr. Colvin’s tort liability practice focuses on the defense of individuals, businesses, and public entities against a variety of claims, including personal injury, premises liability, and wrongful death actions.  Mr. Colvin’s professional liability practice includes the representation of a variety of professionals, including design professionals, real estate agents and brokers, insurance professionals, and trustees.  Mr. Colvin represents each client with exceptional professionalism, integrity, and a zealous pursuit of a favorable outcome.

 Prior to joining LBBK, Mr. Colvin represented owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, and engineers and architects, in complex construction defect actions at a prominent nation-wide firm.  There, he managed all aspects of litigation from case intake to successful resolution, including discovery, depositions, law and motion, and trial preparation.  Mr. Colvin has authored winning motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment.

 Outside of his practice and when not chasing after his young children, Mr. Colvin enjoys spending time hiking, catching a Giants game, and playing tennis.
