Karla Baer

Overview

Karla Baer is an associate in the General Liability/Professional Liability Practice Group in the San Diego office. Ms. Baer specializes in defending business entities against a variety of personal injury claims, including premises liability, product failures, catastrophic injuries, and negligence claims. Prior to joining LBBK, Ms. Baer worked to defend municipalities and public entities against dangerous conditions of public property claims and other claims under the California Government Code.  Prior to that, Ms. Baer worked in philanthropy for two private foundations in Los Angeles, where she saw first-hand the impact the nonprofit community makes to the quality of life for the Los Angeles community.

Ms. Baer obtained her JD at the University of San Diego in 2000.  She did her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California where she was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.  When not practicing law, Ms. Baer can be found alongside her husband and 14 – year old daughter chasing her toy poodle “Cottonball” around the neighborhood.
