Kate S. Im

Overview

Kate Im is a senior associate in Lagasse Branch Bell + Kinkead’s Labor and Employment Law practice group and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She represents employers ranging from large corporations to small, non-profit organizations and local public agencies in cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, collective bargaining, and other employment claims. Ms. Im handles all stages of litigation, arbitration, and administrative hearings and regularly appears in state and federal court.

Prior to joining LBBK, Ms. Im worked extensively with educational institutions, including public and private schools, colleges, and universities, and frequently presented at conferences hosted by the Association of California School Administrators. During law school, Ms. Im interned at the Lanterman Regional Center and represented families of students with developmental disabilities in special education matters.

Ms. Im graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and the University of California at Los Angeles, where she was a member of the Chi Alpha Delta sorority. She is admitted to practice law in the State of California, the United States District Court for the Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit.

Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Im enjoys painting, drawing, and collecting house plants.
