Kay Kuberka

Overview

Kelsey (“Kay”) Kuberka joined the firm’s Tort and Professional Liability Practice Groups as a seasoned litigator. She specializes in defending businesses and public entities against a variety of personal injury claims, including premises liability, commercial auto, construction site accidents, and wrongful death claims. Ms. Kuberka’s professional liability practice involves defending professional malpractice claims against a variety of professionals, including architects, engineers, and real estate brokers and agents. Ms. Kuberka has represented clients throughout California, in each of the United States District Courts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

She has successfully helped clients navigate complex legal matters and effectively advocated for clients bringing novel arguments and modern strategies to each case. Ms. Kuberka’s innovative approach aims to support clients as they step ahead of the dynamic legal landscape. Her uplifting energy allows her to work effectively with antagonistic counsel and tenacious litigants.

Mid-West born and raised, Ms. Kuberka studied Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. In addition to her studies, Ms. Kuberka participated in the University’s Mock Trial Team for two years and subsequently served two years as Team Captain. After college, Ms. Kuberka followed her passion for litigation to San Diego, where she graduated Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

Outside of her law practice, Ms. Kuberka enjoys applying her creativity to various projects, from crafting to woodworking. She enjoys spending time with her wife, Samantha, and their two rescue pups, Beastly and Piper.
